Robbie Hill

Hi, my name is Robbie and I have been a film maker for over 20 years, creating film and TV content for some of the worlds largest brands.

During my career in Film & TV I have worked with many different sectors around the world, from promotional films, to educational films, TV Adverts and award winning documentaries...but above all else, in my heart, I'm a story-teller.

 

I set up For Better Films so I could do what I love most, filming beautiful images and making people happy.

My TV & Film career started with a cup of tea....more specifically, me making the tea!

 

From the age of 18 I worked my way up through the ranks at Denham Productions, one of the South West's leading production companies and producers of the Rick Stein and Keith Floyd cookery series. Over my 7 years with the company I grew from runner and tea-boy to Researcher, Assistant Producer, Director and Series Producer for ITV and BBC.

I have worked on two Royal Television Society Award winning series and have been nominated for a further two (plus I make a cracking cup of tea!).

After a few years travelling, in 2008 I founded Hill Tribe Media, a film and video content creation agency, with one aim... to help our clients tell their story. 15 years later and we're still going strong.

​

In 2023, For Better Films was created. I wanted to take a step back from Hill Tribe Media and let my team manage the projects that would often see me leave home on a regular basis. This now allows me to focus more on passion projects and prioritise my time with my family and dogs (I'm a Flat Coat fanatic!).

 

Above all else, For Better Films allows me to return to my greatest love of film making, which is creating beautiful images, meeting wonderful people, and creating something that will give years of pleasure to the lovely people I work with.
